Your therapist can help:
- Restore a sense of belonging: Helping you feel more connected to others.
- Improve overall health: Inspire changes to restore health and wellbeing.

In addition to specializing in neurological and brain health conditions, your nurse therapist (Adam) incorporates diet and exercise coaching into sessions, honouring your body’s important role in mental health.
Other reasons why people book with us . . .
✅ Affordable, starting at $ 75 — Plus: Health Spending Account (HSA) coverage
✅ Convenient evening sessions
✅ Welcoming couples & families
✅ On-call telephone support
After your initial visit, Adam will draft personalized recommendations for therapy. This may include a combination of counselling, nutrition, and health advice — including things you can complete on your own, in the comfort of your home.
Counselling therapies often promote better connection to your self, and shape body-mind awareness. Traditional psychotherapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), may also incorporate sensory elements (like music and visual effects) to increase relaxation and self-confidence during the session.
With over 15 years’ clinical experience, Adam’s approach is based on well-established strategies. He has extensive expertise assessing neurological syndromes in community settings, which is where Adam first learned to go beyond talk therapy, adding audio-visual experiences into counselling.

Specialized Counselling Option: Immersive Therapy
Often, we cannot think differently until we generate a different reference point, or mental image, for events. The featured video (above) is designed to evoke the emotion of safety by helping people visualize a safe arrival. This can feel powerful when integrated into a therapy session, allowing us to ask: “Who else might you become in that moment?”
Immersive experiences can promote relaxation and enhance the impact of therapy, setting the scene for a more meaningful experience of counselling.

Welcome! I’m Adam 👋
I am the primary therapist supporting the evening therapy program, where I bring over 15 years professional experience to your healing journey. As a Registered Nurse, therapy sessions may be reimbursed via health spending accounts (HSAs) and some private insurance plans.
From Surviving to Thriving
I came to appreciate the value of compassionate care from a very young age. Like many patients, I required expert care to survive childhood. And, like many who overcame these challenges, I am grateful for the great care I received as a child.
These early experiences — from surviving to thriving — helped me understand that every storm eventually passes. I later graduated high-school with first-class honours, completing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Trent University on full scholarship after graduation.
Healing Your Environment
From personal experience, I know that our living environments either help or hinder our personal healing. I am trained to respond to situations that provoke distress. I am also trained to assess your environment for self-care, scanning for risks and protective factors that may affect your mental or physical health.
Leaving the Island
The fact is, no person can survive in complete isolation. We may choose to take personal responsibility for every success and failure in our life; however, it is important to consider how our thoughts and behaviours evolve in response to past experiences. We have the power to decide if these associations are helpful or unhelpful as we move forward with life.
Integrating mind, body and environment helps me tackle existential health challenges together with you, which is sometimes overlooked in traditional therapy.
Our counselling services are covered by Health Spending Accounts (HSAs).
