Congratulations on finding your reset button.

Our cutting-edge Online Therapy program delivers counselling enhanced by immersive online experiences.

Following an initial planning appointment, your online therapy session is carefully planned to produce a more transformative and impactful experience. Immersive therapy can focus on restoring your sense of self, developing healthy relationships, or increasing body-mind awareness.

Your primary therapist and registered nurse, Adam, achieves these goals by first creating an audio-visual “set” for your online session. With over 15 years’ clinical experience, Adam’s approach is both innovative and recognized as a valuable supplement to evidence-based counselling therapies. Adam’s personalized methods also extend psychological treatments beyond words, designing audio-visual experiences to captivate your imagination and provide fresh insights into past events.

What is immersive online therapy?

Our approach to therapy incorporates Sensory Immersive Therapy, or SIT, to create impactful audio-visual experiences and use them as tools to increase the therapeutic impact of counselling.

After our planning appointment, Adam develops a treatment plan to create the “set” for an intensive therapy session. This treatment plan forms the basis for a virtual counselling session with a specific look and feel, shifting your sensory experience at opportune times.

Immersive therapies are meticulously crafted, with the accuracy of an optometrist and the artful timing of a choreographer. A majestic symphony might punctuate moments of insight, while awe-inspiring natural vistas might defuse traumatic memories. These expertly-crafted encounters help produce new perspectives and insight.

Welcome! I’m Adam 👋

I am the primary therapist and registered nurse (RN) supporting the Online Therapy program, where I bring over 15 years professional experience to your healing journey. As a Registered Nurse in Alberta, my visits are also eligible for reimbursement via your health spending account (HSA).

From Surviving to Thriving

I came to appreciate the value of compassionate care from a very young age. Like many patients, I required expert care to survive childhood. And, like many who overcame these challenges, I am grateful for the great care I received as a child.

These early experiences — from surviving to thriving — helped me understand that every storm eventually passes. I later graduated high-school with first-class honours, completing the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Trent University on full scholarship after graduation.

Healing Your Environment

From personal experience, I know that our living environments either help or hinder our personal healing.

I am trained to respond to situations and surroundings that provoke distress. I am also trained to assess your environment for self-care, scanning for risks and protective factors that may affect your mental or physical health.

Leaving the Island

The fact is, no person can survive in complete isolation. We may choose to take personal responsibility for every success and failure in our life; however, it is equally important to examine how our thoughts and behaviours have developed in response to past experiences. We have the power to decide if these relationships are helpful or unhelpful as we move forward with life.

Integrating mind, body and environment helps me tackle existential health challenges together with you, which is sometimes overlooked in traditional therapy.

Online sessions are eligible for Health Spending Account (HSA) reimbursement.
