Find calm. Build confidence. Feel understood.

Therapy often helps.

We offer a clinically-grounded approach to therapy, helping to proactively manage mental health challenges. Evidence-based therapies (like ACT, CBT and behavioural activation) will help you explore what feels stuck and identify practical steps to move forward.

Together, you’ll build a strong foundation for success.

Our therapy team aims to help patients experience meaningful improvements in psychological well-being within the first three sessions.

Think of therapy like having a co-pilot: someone to identify patterns, pivot towards what is working well, and make small adjustments to achieve greater stability and alignment with your goals.

What to Expect

At your first visit, we complete a comprehensive assessment to understand key factors affecting your well-being. This allows us to create an action plan that feels realistic and supportive.

Our therapy process is structured for clear progress and predictable outcomes:

Visit 1 – Assessment: Explore how your body, mind, and social environment interact.
Visit 2 – Action plan: Identify meaningful goals and begin ‘the work’ of therapy.
Visits 3 to 5 – Evidence-based therapy: Use proven approaches (like ACT, CBT, and behavioural activation) to build meaningful change.

This assessplantreat approach is designed to conclude naturally within 3–5 sessions, helping reduce the overall cost of therapy.

If You’re Unsure About Therapy

It’s very common to notice some hesitation. This may mean you are considering the benefits of working with a therapist and exploring if they are the best fit for your concern. You may also be searching for the right therapist or a specific emotion to start therapy.

Before you decide, it may help to imagine the shift you hope for:

  • Feeling calmer and more connected
  • Making peace with past experiences
  • Building relaxation or healthy routines
  • Feeling better supported or understood

A Trauma-informed, Whole Person Approach

Effective therapy helps people change their relationship with difficult experiences and regain a sense of control.

Our approach helps clients manage stressful emotions while staying grounded in the present moment. Research shows this builds psychological flexibility, a key skill for resilience and long-term mental health.

We also look at the bigger picture of well-being, including:

  • Sleep
  • Nutrition
  • Exercise
  • Lifestyle factors
  • Social supports

This biopsychosocial model supports a balanced and practical path to improving personal performance.

Together, we work to rebuild:

  • A sense of purpose and belonging
  • Healthy routines and performance
  • Calm, resilience, and confidence
After Your First Visit

Therapy can increase your flexibility when responding to life’s challenges. With the right support, many people rediscover strengths they didn’t realize they had.

If you prefer to continue working independently, you may request a Recovery Action Plan that includes practical strategies between sessions.

Recovery Action Plans often combine:

  • Psychological strategies
  • Exercise, nutrition and lifestyle advice
  • Guidance for key relationships
  • Personal development goals
Calm. Confident. Understood.

Welcome! I’m Adam 👋

I am the primary Registered Nurse (RN) Therapist supporting the men’s mental health program in Edmonton, where I bring over 15 years professional experience to my work.

As a Registered Nurse, therapy sessions are covered by most Health Care Spending Accounts (HCSA’s) and select health insurance plans.

My approach integrates mental health, physical health, and environmental support to support lasting change.

From Surviving to Thriving

Like many underdogs who overcome big challenges, I required expert care to survive early childhood.

Those early childhood experiences helped shape my commitment to helping others move from surviving to thriving, shaped by my belief that every difficult season of life can eventually pass.

This also shapes my career interest in patient-centred, compassionate care.

Environment Matters

Your environment also strongly influences mental performance.

During therapy, we consider not only thoughts and emotions, but also external factors that support or hinder well-being. This includes identifying risks, protective factors, and opportunities for meaningful change.

No One Does It Alone

Many men feel pressure to handle everything on their own.

However, even the most resilient people benefit from support. Therapy provides a structured space to examine patterns shaped by past experiences and decide which ones are worth keeping… and, which ones are ready for change.

Together, we work toward living a more meaningful and balanced life.
